En el día en el que fue reconocido como el mejor delantero del año y segundo puesto en el Balón de Oro, un sacerdote destacó la honda fe católica del futbolista polaco Robert Lewandowski, jugador del equipo de fútbol alemán Bayern Munich y capitán de la selección de Polonia.
Lewandowski recibió el premio el 29 de noviembre durante la ceremonia de entrega del Balón de Oro, que organiza cada año la revista deportiva France Football.
